But clothes to You don’t create a health revolution without making a few Enemies shirt one side, “a big part of it”, Diamond says, “is he’s so confident … those shots of him just sort of gangling, walking down the street”. In our era of quiet luxury, it makes sense that such understated nonchalance would be finding fans. Leslie Schilling, who came on board as Curb Your Enthusiasm’s costume designer when the show returned from its six-year hiatus in 2017, agrees that people “like the way that he carries himself”. But she still has people asking her: “What are those pants?’ Where do I get those?” David is 77 now, but, she says, he “doesn’t dress like a frumpy older man, he still looks very stylish”. It helps that he is “tall and slender, so fortunately things just kind of hang really nicely on him”.
You don’t create a health revolution without making a few Enemies shirt, hoodie, sweater, longsleeve and ladies t-shirt
When Carlos Rosario You don’t create a health revolution without making a few Enemies shirt was first approached about costuming the FX show Shōgun, he was hesitant. He much preferred working on feature films, which, to him, present a narrative structure that’s more clear. But it was his parents—who fondly remembered the 1980s iteration of Shōgun—who changed his mind. Ultimately, Rosario decided he didn’t want to revisit the ’80s interpretation of the James Clavell novel. In fact, he didn’t want to revisit any Japanese films or TV at all. “I knew that for this one, we needed to start from scratch,” he says. “It was important for me to go straight to the source, so we studied and dissected paintings from that period.” For Rosario, the paintings from 1600s Japan were his main source of inspiration. “At the end of the day, the paintings really represent the essence of the period without any filters. That’s why I didn’t focus on Japanese movies of that period, because that’s the vision of the director,” Rosario adds.
